rep that's been elected to a larger committee. And of course, there
would be people who are members because they or their group donated
money. There would be others still, such as Mr. Carroll, who are
respected contributors to OGP who are loosely associated and
periodically advise on issues under consideration.
We could formally name these sets of people, for instance (but not limited to):
- Board of directors
- Board of advisors/advisers *
- Community representatives
- Paid contributors
They would have varying levels of influence, and there would probably
be a significant amount of overlap between the groups. For instance,
a paid contributor shouldn't be allowed to wield too much control just
because they have deep pockets, but if they are also elected to some
other position, they then also carry that weight.
* I didn't realize that these were two separate words, and there
appears there may be some small semantic difference. Pick one.
