Hello!
I think that i never send anything here & this is my first time :)
I think it's good moment for me to write what i thinka bout this
subject, because from few years I'm OpenBSD administrator & I think I
understand something about this.
What Theo de Raadt need is not driver for him! It's not good way of
making drivers, when there will be team that will be making them for
all operating system. It may take too much time & if some fixes will
have to be done then... Ahh to much work. Well the solution is very
simple. What people need is DOCUMENTATION that will got everything
that drivers coders may use for writing driver for this graphic card.
Linux drivers only are not bad idea, when they will have
DOCUMENTATION for writing driver. Because then someone will may look
how something can be done & make it working on other operating
system. The OpenBSD community will like even more the documentation
than drivers, because they make all of them alone (because other
point of view).
But documentation isn't only for OpenBSD. Thanks to docs, all other
open source operating system developers can just take it & write
drivers. It's much better way than making drivers for all OS's :)
& it will make dev team here take more time for making card working
better by not spending time on the drivers that can be done specific OS :)
Thank You :)
