   My philosophy is that I don't believe in philosophical purity.  Any single philosophy that's simple enough for human comprehension is too simple to encompass every aspect of the real world.
   In different terms, we have to be both principled and pragmatic if we want to accomplish anything useful.  Sometimes that's a little tricky to keep in balance.
