[Open-graphics] [Slightly OT] Precise selections with GIMP?

This is only slightly OT, because I'm trying to make stickers for OGD1
boards that look nicer than the silkscreen.

With GIMP, I can find ways to type in precise fixed sizes and aspect
ratios for making selections.  There is a means to type in exact
numbers for these things.  But nowhere can I find any way to type in
POSITION information for a selection.  And since dragging a selection
position is relative to cursor positions, that doesn't help either.

Anyone know how to do this?
