It all sounds sensible to me.  As always, if you're afraid about
something that might break after you commit, keep a backup and then
check out a pristine tree and test it.  If it breaks, fix it.  :)

Also, on a related note, I'm working on doing synthesis of hq today.
One thing I noticed is that the top-level module has no outputs.  If
the synthesizer is smart, it'll resolve the whole design to no logic.
I'm going to hack in something for an output.  I'm also thinking I'll
check in the hack, just as a general reference.
