As an ambivalent owner of a Nokia 770 (OMAP 1710, C55x DSP) I don't think that TI would release the hardware docs under conditions that would allow someone to support it with free software (they certainly didn't for Nokia). Also, how likely is it that it is capable of decoding HD resolutions, if it's designed for use in phones?
