Hello,

If my reading is correct you are currently using the Xilinx & Lattice
FPGAs. You state the free tools you must use are only for Windows
(emulated with WINE) with the Linux tools being expensive. Is the goal
(or one of) of this project to create your own FPGA and supporting tools
for use in *nix that come free of charge with the purchase of your FPGA?

The goal for now is to work towards OGA1, an ASIC based board that will
be cheap enough to be commercially viable.

Do you intend to create/enable a graphics chipset that mainboard
manufacturers can integrate on their boards?
--- end of quote ---

The ASIC used in OGA1 will be a discrete part that can be added to a
motherboard or, more likely, an embedded system.

Hope that helps!
