With regard to hardware, we do have this page:

Now that we have a final board, we probably should update it and add
the information there. Anyone can do so, all you need is a wiki
account. We probably want to list the major components, what they
connect to and how many pins (anything else?).

This is a job that a number of people with an eye for detail can do.
If you see a significant component as shown in the picture not named
and listed below, add it. If you are not sure, put it at the bottom
and someone will help out and check it for you. Print out the
schematic and look at the picture on that page - you should able to
identify how  many pins connect where. Ask in the mailing list if you
need help or have noticed a correction for the illustration.
